Economic Savior?

Here's some food for thought, see if this doesn't sound familiar.

The country is in economic turmoil, there is rampant unemployment worldwide, and no one has a plan to help solve this crisis.
A young, charismatic candidate rises through the ranks of the party to take control and start moving the somewhat socialist-leaning agenda forward.
He is wildly popular, appealing to all walks of life, including the youth who are solidy behind his campaign.
He promises to bring an end to the malaise of the country by first providing jobs to its citizens through rebuilding of the infrastructure.
He says that the cause of the economic problem is the greedy members of the financial community who are holding the average person hostage through their lending practices. He promises to take charge of the situation and do whatever is necessary to bring order to the problem.
Riding the tide of populism, he and his party are swept into office to attempt to bring the country out of their crisis.
And, in1933, ADOLPH HITLER is appointed to take control of the German Chancellory, and the rest, as they say, is History. (or is it?)

I would't have thougth of Hitler as charismatic (but then all we hear about him is the war/atrocities part.)

That's what happens when young people get carried away and elders don't keep them in check (I'm not considering myself a youth at this point.) They have no idea about consequences and ideals, honor and faith, the long term effect of things, they live in the here and now - Hope and change sounded good to them, why wouldn't it? I have to agree with the elders on this one - sometimes change is bad.

Liese, I am still getting used to this "blogging" thing. I just discovered that there have been comments posted to my blogs! Sorry about that! In answer to most of your posts, I am definitely a "Nobama" man, I resent his arrogent, smug, condescending attitude towards the people of America. He is shipping this nation down the toilet, while telling us we are too stupid to know how things work, so we must "trust" his "change." Well, I don't put blind trust in ANY man, and it looks like all that will be left of the economy for us when he is done is "change."
